Bradford Regional Airport
Land Development
The Bradford Regional Airport has over 250 acres that are State approved
Keystone Opportunity Zone (KOZ) and Keystone Opportunity Expansion Zone
(KOEZ) sites. KOZ and KOEZ parcels are eligible for certain State and
local abatements expiring December 31, 2010 and December 31, 2013 respectively.
The goal of the KOZ and KOEZ programs are to entice businesses to locate
in underdeveloped areas by giving them relief from many local and state
taxes. Businesses must meet specific criteria set by the State, but once
they qualify, property owners will pay no state or local taxes. The only
exception is the 6 percent tax on retail sales.
State corporate net income, capital stock and franchise and personal
income taxes, along with county, borough and school real estate taxes,
business gross receipts tax, occupancy and privilege taxes, mercantile
taxes and earned income are all waived. KOZ and KOEZ parcels are
eligible for certain State and local abatements expiring December 31,
2010 and December 31, 2013 respectively.
Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) benefits may also be possible.
