 MINUTES OF THE

BRADFORD REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY

Monthly Meeting held

December 12, 2007

                                       at the

BRADFORD REGIONAL AIRPORT

 

IN ATTENDANCE:

 

            The Bradford Regional Airport Authority held its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m., in the conference room of the Bradford Regional Airport.  The following members attended the meeting:  Authority Chairman Clifford Lane, who presided; Board Members:  Ron Dankesreiter, John Satterwhite, Dan Freeberg, and Rob Huber.  Also in attendance were:  Thomas C. Frungillo, Airport Director, Erik Ross, Interim Airport Solicitor, Ed Nasuti, Airport Engineer, Mike Schreiber of the Bradford Era, Joe Fadden of Congressman Petersons office, Jill Thompson of Representative Kathy Rapp’s office, Howard Glessner and Amy Kessler of NCRPDC and Alicia Dankesreiter.

 

CALL TO ORDER:

 

            Authority Chairman Mr. Lane called the meeting to order at 11:10         A.M.,and noted that quorum was present.

 

REVIEW OF MINUTES:

 

            Authority Chairman Cliff Lane called for approval of the minutes of the November 2007 meeting.  The minutes of the November meeting were approved by motion of Mr. Ron Dankesreiter and seconded by Mr. John Satterwhite and passed.

 

 

REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS:

 

            The Treasurer’s report for the month of November was accepted and approved by motion of Mr. Rob Huber, seconded by Mr. Ron Dankesreiter and passed. 

 

 

AIRPORT REPORT:

 

            Mr. Frungillo, Airport Director presented the Airport report.  A copy was handed out at the meeting to each Board Member.

 

  

ENGINEER’S REPORT:

 

            Mr. Ed Nasuti, with Lee-Simpson Associates, Inc. presented the Engineer’s report.

 

PROJECT # 27 – Improve Runway 14 RSA (design), Phase I & Wetlands Mitigation Monitoring; Improve Airport Miscellaneous (public water/sewer); Rehabilitate Terminal Building; Conduct Wildlife Hazard Management Study

 

The water tank has been repaired at the expense of the manufacturer.

 

This project can not be closed until the sewer right of way issue is still resolved.

 

 

PROJECT # 31 - SRE; Rehabilitate Vault & Emergency Generator; Rehabilitate Runway 14-32; Parallel TWY to RWY 32 Phase II

 

This project is primarily completed with the exception of runway markings which will be completed in the spring.

 

 

PROJECT #33 - Rehabilitate RWY 14-32 Phase II, Acquire SRE - Blower, Wetland Mitigation 2007, GVGI - Phase I Design

 

The blower has been ordered and is scheduled for delivery in January 2008.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS:

 

By a motion from Mr. John Satterwhite, seconded by Mr. Ron Dankesreiter the Authority officially recommended Cliff Lane to serve another 5 year term on the Board.  This recommendation will be brought to the McKean County Commissioners for review.  Mr. Lane abstained.

 

The Authority met in an executive session to discuss personnel issues.

ADJOURNMENT:

 

            The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 PM.

 

            The next meeting of the Bradford Regional Airport Authority will be held on  Wednesday January 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.

Bradford Airport Authority 2008 Meeting Dates

Meetings of the Bradford Regional Airport Authority are held the second Wednesday of every month at 11:00am unless otherwise noted. 

The tentative schedule for 2008 is as follows:

1/9/2008, 2/13/2008, 3/12/2008, 07/09/2008, 5/14/2008, 6/11/2008, 7/9/2008, 8/13/2008, 9/10/2008, 10/08/2008, 11/12/2008 & 12/10/2008.
